Sports Figures and Character

I'm not sure there is any sports figures any more that show good moral or character. It seems like all I hear them doing is drinking, drugs and hurting women. It really shocked me when I read about Michel Phelps smoking pot. What happened to the professional athlete that set a good example that we all wanted to be like?
